The post Netflix’s New No. 1 Movie Has A 94% Rotten Tomatoes Score appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com.
It is always fascinating to see what kind of licensed and acquired content does well on Netflix. Sometimes it’s obvious picks, other times? You never would have guessed. That’s the case with Old Henry, the new #1 movie on Netflix’s top 10 list. It’s a 2021 feature that has a 94% critic score and a 92% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. This placement means Old Henry is now being broadcast to an audience of hundreds of millions, rather than the few that saw it at release (the movie made $77,463 worldwide as a small-scale independent film). Whatever the case, word of mouth has spread, and it has even unseated Enola Holmes 3, the Netflix original sequel starring Millie Bobby Brown, which was years in the making (though that did stay at #1 for quite a while). But everyone loves a good Western, so what’s Old Henry about? “Old Henry is an action-Western about a widowed farmer and his son w
The post ‘Little House On The Prairie’ Rotten Tomatoes Reviews Mostly Praise Netflix Reboot appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com.
Crosby Fitzgerald, Alice Halsey, Luke Bracey and Skywalker Hughes in “Little House on the Prairie.” NETFLIX/ERIC ZACHANOWICH Netflix’s reboot of the classic television series Little House on the Prairie is being met with mostly positive reviews from Rotten Tomatoes’ critics. Airing on NBC for nine seasons from 1974 to 1983, Little House on the Prairie was a frontier family drama partially based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s fourth book in her Little House series — 1937’s On the Banks of Plum Creek — and as such, the series is largely set in Walnut Grove, Minn. The original series starred Melissa Gilbert as Laura Ingalls and Michael Landon and Karen Grassle as her parents, Charles and Caroline Ingalls, as well as Melissa Sue Anderson as the oldest Ingalls daughter, Mary. The post Moana’s Record Rotten Tomatoes Score Should Give Disney Pause appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com.
While many were skeptical of the idea of a Moana live-action remake just two years after Moana 2 was released, it is still rather stunning that the film is reviewing this badly. Moana, with dozens of reviews now in, has amassed a 37% Rotten Tomatoes score, the worst in Disney live-action adaptation history. That’s lower than at least 12 other movies, including the worst ones like Maleficent, Dumbo and Alice in Wonderland. Criticisms include its flat visuals, underwhelming performances and the fact that it simply did not need to exist at all as nearly a 1:1 remake of the original film. Disney may need to take a beat to figure out the plan for continuing with this concept. Perhaps that not every movie they’ve ever made needs an adaptation like this, particularly not the ones that have released so recently. There is a big difference between say, Lilo and Stitch, which released 24 ye

‘Evil Dead Burn’ key art. Warner Bros. Pictures/New Line Cinema Evil Dead Burn, the latest film in producers Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell’s reimagined Evil Dead franchise, has sparked some positive reviews from Rotten Tomatoes critics. Directed by Sébastien Vaniček, Evil Dead Burn once again involves the Necronomicon, aka the Book of the Dead, which this time unleashes a demonic presence upon a widow, Alice (Souheila Yacoub) and her in-laws at the rundown, remote home after Alice’s husband, Will’s (George Pullar) tragic death. Before too long, the family members turn into Deadites and the number of people in the home to fight them is dwindling rapidly. Netflix engineers detailed how they handle wide partitions in Apache Cassandra for the TimeSeries Abstraction. Two approaches work together: Time Slice re-partitioning tunes future partitions at the table level, while dynamic partitioning detects and splits oversized partitions per TimeSeries ID on the read path. Detection runs via byte counting and Kafka, splits are checksum-validated, and Bloom filters route reads to parallel child partitions. Average read latency dropped from seconds to low double-digit milliseconds, with 500MB+ partitions staying available.

The post The ‘Moana’ Rotten Tomatoes Critic Review Score Is A Disney Disaster appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com.
While The Odyssey dropped its social media embargo for early critic impressions nearly two weeks before release, Moana waited until the very last minute to do the same, stacking actual, full reviews the very same day. We are exactly one day before release, and those scored reviews are live. Going through many of them, it’s easy to see why Disney might have waited, given its horrific Rotten Tomatoes score. At a 32 % Rotten Tomatoes critic review score, the live-action Moana remake is on the worst score ever out of of the growing amount of live-action animation adaptations that Disney has done, often pulling in huge profits, answering the “why” of why they’re bothering to remake so many classics. That is a big criticism about this version of Moana, that it is often a shot-by-shot, line-by-line remake of the original, so why should it have been made at all? “Money” is not usu
