Brandon Bell | Getty Images Two top Walmart executives are departing the company, nearly four months after CEO John Furner took over, according to internal memos viewed by CNBC on Friday. Tom Ward, the chief operating officer of Walmart’s warehouse chain Sam’s Club, is retiring, and Cedric Clark, Walmart’s executive vice president of U.S. store operations, is leaving the business, the memos show. A replacement for Clark is expected to be announced in the “coming weeks,” the memo said. It’s unclear when the company expects to fill Ward’s position. The post Concert ticket prices are reshaping summer live music demand appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com.
Rolfo | Moment | Getty Images This summer, mega artist Harry Styles will take the stage at Madison Square Garden in New York City for an exclusive 30-show residency – his only planned stop in the country and a show that’s garnered intense attention since its announcement. Despite her best efforts, Shira Elfassy won’t be there. “His tickets were absurd,” Elfassy, 29, told CNBC. “It felt like an insult going in and seeing, like, not only can I not get in, not only are there no tickets left, but even then, the most basic price point is $500 for a nose-bleed seat — and this is becoming commonplace.” Instead, Elfassy said she got tickets to see other artists live, like Florence + the Machine and Olivia Rodrigo, at far lower price points. She said feeling “priced out” of some concerts is now a common occurrence. “It’s just a weird dynamic now. … At this point, if I have to make the deci

Travelers walk through the terminal at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on May 1, 2026. Leslie Josephs | CNBC Higher fuel prices are testing how badly consumers want to travel this summer, whether flying or driving. Airfare hasn’t been this high since May 2022, when airlines stumbled out of the pandemic with aircraft and employee shortages to face hordes of consumers ready for “revenge travel.” Gasoline is above $4 a gallon and could go higher, AAA warned this week. Jet fuel prices doubled in the span of less than three months this year after the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran, kicking off a conflict that has left a key shipping channel effectively closed. Domestic round-trip airfares in April averaged $623, the highest in nearly four years, according to data from the Airlines Reporting Corporation, which tracks travel agency ticket sales. Jet fuel is the second-bigge

The SpaceX Starship rocket launches from Starbase, Texas, as seen from South Padre Island on May 27, 2025. SpaceX mission control lost contact with the upper stage of Starship as it leaked fuel, spun out of control, and made an uncontrolled reentry after flying halfway around the world, likely disintegrating over the Indian Ocean, officials said. At a moment when analysts are warning about an unprecedented supply shock, with a fifth of global supply at risk, why are billionaires launching colossal rockets into space? The answer is both simpler — and more complicated — than it first appears. Starship V3 is the tal

A Target Built On Bold Math Saylor’s confidence ties back to a specific projection he has held for some time: a 30% average annual return for Bitcoin. That number forms the backbone of his prediction that Bitcoin will hit $13 million by 2045, a figure he arrived at by modeling a 29% yearly return sustained over roughly 19 years. Among the forces he expects to drive that growth are institutional adoption, government-level treasury strategy, and Bitcoin’s fixed supply — factors he believes will pull capital away from gold and traditional financial markets. $MSTR Co-Founder @saylor explains why he thinks $BTC will
