Meta Launches Muse Wonder, Google Expands Gemini 4
Meta strengthened its AI portfolio by launching Muse Wonder, a competitive model tailored for professional applications in finance, legal, and health sectors, and Muse Spark Open, a large open-weight model for coding and reasoning that supports local use on Apple devices. Meanwhile, Google expanded access to Gemini 4 Argon, a frontier model designed for long-horizon tasks including coding and robotics, with a new unified 1M-token context window and tiered pricing. In a notable industry shift, Character.AI filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and agreed to sell key assets and hire most of its staff to Disney, raising questions over user data continuity. Anthropic reported strong revenue growth with plans for a significant IPO but faced valuation scrutiny, advanced AI safety transparency, partnered to enhance enterprise adoption, and cautioned about AI replication risks on IoT devices.
