The first trailer for the upcoming animated film, Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender just dropped and with it some very big news. The film’s original October release date has been moved up, though Paramount has not budged on returning the movie to theaters. While an earlier release date is good news – other than the fact that I had planned to rewatch the entire original series and now have much less time to do so – I’m pretty bummed out about the movie coming direct to Paramount+. I was really looking forward to seeing this on the big screen, and I suspect that the series’ passionate fan-base would have shown up to movie theaters in droves.
