The report, published July 1, revealed that attackers have carried out 207 separate hacks over the last six months, “the highest number TRM has recorded in any six-month period,” said the firm. Despite the increase in incidents, the total losses were actually down compared to the same period last year, from $2.3 billion in the first half of 2025 to $972 million in 2026.
